Innovation and creativity are the gateway to improving quality and maintaining development. This could be closely relevant not only to our life and our patriotism but also involves in the process of shifting our economy to be diverse and rely primarily on knowledge and creating new job opportunities for citizens. This will allow our university to be a successful hub for entrepreneurship, taking into consideration the importance of scientific research and performance indicators.
Innovation can be defined as the development and progress in all fields and services for all organizations and societies. This is an economic value in itself and an industry that needs to have an appropriate environment that supports and encourages it, and is seen one of the most important pillars of the Kingdom’s Vision 2030.
Creative ideas that address social, economic and environmental issues are abundant in our Saudi society, but they need to be supported advocated to reach the decision-makers. This could face many difficulties and complex procedures!
I believe that having special communication channels and allowing time for creative public ideas that serve society is extremely important. In developed countries, this is their approach for work along with preserving innovators' right through these channels that motivate them to present their ideas freely.
