Muslim Arabs: Between Multi-culturalism in America and Multi-intellectualism in France”

“: Within the events of Students Activities Committee, the committee organized a workshop entitled “Muslim Arabs: Between Multi-culturalism in America and Multi-intellectualism in France” which took place on Thursday, 6 November 2014, in the Honoring Hall. The workshop was presented by Dr. Anwar Bin Hafsa where he spoke of the status of Muslim Arabs in both the United States and France, the historical reason behind the small number of Muslims in both countries was elucidated, as well as the absence of their effectiveness on political decision as a lobby. He also spoke about problems pertaining to coexistence and fusion with both societies, about how far did the Moslem Arabic identity and the western identity correspond, and about possible clashes between both identities. At the end, they took questions from the audience and answered them, and discussing some notes and participations.
