A Lecture on Saudi Arabia’s Vital Role in Islamic World and its Link to Vision 2030

The Intellectual Awareness Unit at female campus conducted a lecture entitled “Saudi Arabia’s Vital Role in Islamic World and its Link to Vision 2030”. Presented by Dr. Khalid Al-Serheed – Head of Contemporary Islamic Studies – on Wednesday, the lecture aims to : 1. Highlight the critical roles played by Saudi Arabia in Islamic World. 2. Framework of the Kingdom’s Vision 2030 3. Relationship between the Kingdom’s Vision 2030 and its prominent role in Islamic world. Dr. Al-Sareeh provided a historical background of Saudi Arabia being founded on the principles of Quran and Sunna. He also reported the sayings of some renowned scholars. Moreover, he talked about the prominent role of Saudi Arabia both regionally and internationally, particularly the support of Palestinian case and its great efforts to serve Islam and Muslims. The discussion then focused on the renaissance of Saudi Arabia under the leadership of King Salman bin Abdulaziz and his Crown Prince Mohammed Bin Salman and how, and how this vision is measuring up the expectation of people.
