The dean meets with faculty and students from the Computer Department

Under the light of initiating a strategic plan aiming at presenting an academic service on a higher level of quality and reliance, the deanery set , on Sunday, the 26th September 2014, a meeting between members and students from the Computer Department, the number of whom was estimated to be 180 students, in addition to the department members who are composed of five assistant professors, two lecturers, one professor, the head of the department –Dr. Iman Mustapha, and the college’s deputy –Maha Al-Lifan. The meeting was outlined as follows: 1- Congratulating the department for reaching such an honorable level despite the hardships, in addition to thanking students for their initiation in adopting solutions for problems that the plan had faced such as the retard of the study of some decisions when problems where solved during the afternoon period. The result of this effort was the anticipation of the graduation of 55 students, and this represents 100% of the applicants in the first academic year during which the plan was applied. 2- Students presented problems that they had faced such as the pressure in the schedule, some problems of TV network, and the problem of graduation that had been hindered by the ambivalence of some verdicts. After discussion, the meeting ended up by writing recommendations of the meeting that are presented as follows: transferring students’ problems to the department for further study in order to help students to graduate, and urging the department to do activities like organizing cycles in English and cycles defining computer terms enabling students to promote their education quality in this specialty.
