Self-Esteem Training Session

During the Academic Advising Week of the College, the Student Support Unit conducted a training session for students on the theme "Self-Esteem". Dr. Jalal Siddiq, the presenter, defined the self-esteem as the recognized self-worth individuals set for themselves. “Self-esteem according to psychologists is divided into two parts: Acquired self-esteem and Comprehensive Self-esteem,” Dr. Jalal pointed out. Some of the characteristics of weak personalities were mentioned in the course such as: • Inclination to agree on what others do or say • Accepting requests and desires of other people even at the expense of the rights and comfort of the person • Inability to show and express inner feelings • Lack of the ability to express opinions • Excessive care for others' feelings and fear of annoying them • Absence of determination to make any decision.
