The Department of Finance organized on Sunday a reception program for new students during the second semester of the academic year 1440/1441. Held in the presence of the vice-dean for educational affairs, Dr. Fahad Al-Sherari, the head of department of finance, Dr. Mubarak Mansour and some faculty members, the program began by a recitation of the Quran followed by a talk delivered by Dr. Al-Mubarak about the future of the department along with some tips on how to be responsible to excel in academic study. The vice-dean pointed out the expected outcomes and the job opportunities of this department’s graduates, emphasizing the department’s readiness to help students overcoming any obstacles that may face them in adding or dropping courses. Dr. Awad Ja’afer explained the study plan and number of credit hours required for graduation. A brief overview was provided by Dr. Mohammed Medhat about the e-learning system “Blackboard”, informing students that many courses are held to educate students about the system. The supervisor of student support unit, Dr. Aiman Jaradat briefed students about the programs and activities held by the unit and the role of the unit with regard to academic advising. Dr. Mohammed Abdelrahman highlighted the student activities and events that are held at the college. Students’ questions were answered at the end of the meeting.
