A Lecture entitled “Rights and Duties of Muslim Women”

The Intellectual Awareness Unit at female campus conducted on Wednesday a lecture entitled “Rights and Duties of Muslim Women”, presented by Dr. Dalia Al-Sadiq. The lecture aimed to demonstrate the status of women in Quran, how women are respected in Islam and the rights and duties of Muslim women based on Quran and Sunnah. Dr. Al-Sadiq cited statistically how many times women are mentioned in Quran followed the status women have preoccupied in Islam, particularly the equality with the other gender in everything. Highlighting women’s rights, Dr. Al-Sadiq made a reference to Quran and Sunnah to explain the rights of women to receive education. Some notable examples of women in seeking knowledge and preaching were highlighted following by stating the duties of Muslim women based on Quran and Sunnah.
