A Training Course on Cyber Crimes: Causes, Objectives and Solutions

Based on the directive of the Dean of College of Science and Humanities in Ghat, Dr. Omar Al-Omar and the follow-up of the Vice-Dean for Graduate Studies and Scientific Research, Dr. Abdullah Al-Shaweesh, the Community Service Unit held a training course entitled “Cyber Crimes: Causes, Objectives and Solutions” as part of the 5th knowledge development for government staff in Ghat.
Presented by Dr. Faisal Nafe’a, the course addressed the following themes:
- Introduction about internet
- The importance of the concept ‘information security’
- Categories of cyber crimes
- Components of information system
- Risks management
- Reasons of hacking information
- Virus and malware software
- Steps for security against cyber crimes
The Dean Dr. Omar Al-Omar said this and similar courses are part of the preparations of the College to serve local community.
