Course objectives

The course aims to prepare the student to be able to deal with real numbers and their properties, simplify fractions, find a solution to equations, inequalities, and roots of second-degree equations in different ways, and study complex numbers and their properties. It also aims to prepare the student to be able to deal with functions, their properties, how to draw them and their different types, and to learn about trigonometric functions, their properties, their drawing and relationships between them, matrices and how to use them in solving a system of equations.
