A Training Course on “Interpretation of Natural Phenomena by Physics”

At the request of the Dean of the College of Science and Humanities in Ghat, Dr. Omar Al-Omar, the Student Activity Unit held on Wednesday a training course to improve students’ self-ability and skills, entitled “Interpretation of Natural Phenomena by Physics”.
Presented by Dr. Anwar Al-Jebaly, Assistant Professor at Physics Department, the course addressed the following themes:
1. Astronomical phenomena (stars, solar system, eclipse, comets).
2. Mechanical phenomena (centrifugal force, proving the rotation of the Earth around itself ...)
3. Visual phenomena (reflection of light, refraction of light, sky blue, rainbow, mirage)
4. Wave events (sound, sound wall)
5. Electromagnetic phenomena (penetration, absorption).
The goals of the course are:
1. Introduce students to the physical essence of natural phenomena
2. Equip students with analytical skills of natural phenomena
3. Use flat physical laws to interpret a natural phenomenon.
4. understand the generalization requirements for interpretation of similar physical phenomena
The Dean, Dr. Al-Omar said that these courses along with other programs and activities target students to improve their skills. He also advised students to make the most of these programs offered by the college.
