A Training Course on ‘Program Accreditation Requirements and Time Plan of Criteria”

In response to the directives of the Dean of the College of Science and Humanities in Ghat, Dr. Omar Al-Omar and the follow-up of the Vice-Dean for Development and Quality, Dr. Ali Al-Sa’awi, the Training Unit conducted a course entitled “Program Accreditation Requirements”.
The course was presented on Monday by Dr. Abdelrahman Omar and focused on the following themes:
- Defining the concept of Program Accreditation and its goals as well as its importance and types.
- Explaining some concepts related to accreditation such as inspection and follow-up
- How academic programs at departments can earn the national and international accreditation
- Highlighting the steps to apply for academic accreditation.
The attendees commended the course, particularly the timing of the course as the academic programs at the College are on the verge of internal audit which will significantly help in earning both the internal and external accreditation.
Dr. Al-Omar, the Dean, said this course is part of the College’s plan to prepare for the internal audit which will qualify the College to earn bot the internal and external accreditation.
