KSA Efforts in Fighting Drug Crime

At the request of the Dean of College of Science and Humanities in Ghat, Dr. Omar Al-Omar, the Student Activity Unit held in collaboration with the Student Support Unit a training course entitled “KSA Efforts in Fighting Drug Crime”.
The course was presented by Dr. Mohammed Issa, Assistant Professor at the Department of Law, who addressed the following themes:
- Definition of drug
- Types of drug
- Smuggling methods and control efforts
- KSA efforts globally, regionally and locally in fighting drug
- Negative, social and economic impacts of drug
- The role of family in helping their children not to involve in drug
The course aimed to achieve the following goals:
1- Contribute in reducing the spread of drug among society members
2- Creating health, social and cultural awareness among students about the harm of drug
3- Coordinate the efforts exerted by governmental and non-governmental bodies in fighting drug
The Dean, Dr. Al-Omar said that such courses are part of many other activities and programs targeting students who are expected take part in them.
