Mission:

Prepare highly skilled graduates to compete locally and globally in Cybersecurity and Digital Forensics. Focus on advanced knowledge, hands-on training, competitive-learning, research, professional growth, and ethical values to serve locally and globally.

Program Educational Objectives (PEOs):

Program educational objectives define the characteristics of our graduates a few years after they have graduated and are employed or undertaking graduate studies.

The program will produce graduates who:

  • PE01: Excel as professionals by applying theory and practice, demonstrated through integrating competitions into assessment and research work.
  • PE02: Continuously advance expertise in system security, incident management, and digital forensics through development of project-based assignments that mimic competitive secure environments.
  • PE03: Follow a career path toward leadership and community service through innovation, ethics, and competitive engagement.

 Program Learning Outcomes

Knowledge and Understanding:  
K1 An ability to understand a problem and identify the computing requirements appropriate to its solution
Skills:  
S1 Analyze a complex computing problem and to apply principles of computing and other relevant disciplines to identify solutions 
S2 Design, implement, and evaluate a computing-based solution to meet a given set of computing requirements in the context of the program’s discipline 
S3 Communicate effectively in a variety of professional contexts 
S4 Identify and analyze user needs and to take them into account in the selection, creation, integration, evaluation, and administration of computing-based systems.
S5 An ability to apply knowledge of computing and mathematics appropriate to the discipline 
Values, Autonomy, and Responsibility:  
V1 Function effectively as a member or leader of a team engaged in activities appropriate to the program’s discipline 
V2 Recognize professional responsibilities and make informed judgments in computing practice based on legal and ethical principles
