Terms of the contest ‘Mettle to the summit’ on National Day 90
Terms of participation:
1. Participant should be a student at the college
2. Works submitted to the contest should be originally done by students themselves
3. Works submitted to the contest should demonstrate a sense of patriotism and highlight developmental achievements
4. Engrave the feeling of love and patriotism to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques and his Crown Prince as well as highlighting the role of founder of this country the late King Abdul Aziz
5. Works submitted to the contest should not violate the rule of Islam
6. Emphasize the role of Saudi Arabia and the Ministry of Education in fighting corona virus pandemic
7. Participation in more than a category is allowed, provided only one participation will be considered for each category.
8. Works submitted to the contest will be judged by the Student Activity Unit based on rigorous criteria stated by the unit in coordination with concerned departments
9. The Student Activity Unit has the right to use and publish all materials
Video category:
Overview:
To produce videos celebrating the national day and emphasizing, from the participant’s perspective, one of the several aspects of the Kingdom’s glorious history in a creative manner
Conditions:
1. Materials submitted to the contest should be done by participant himself
2. Duration of the video should be 1 to 2 minutes
3. Should reflect participant’s own ideas on how to celebrate the national day
4. Content of the video (text or any other component) should be primarily based the Saudi identity
5. Content of the video should not violate Islamic Sharia rules
Judgment criteria
1. Quality of images and production
2. Clarity of sound
3. Idea and message of the video
4. Duration of the video
5. Creativity
graphic design category:
overview:
To design creatively a photo showing the celebration of the national day from the participant’s view
Conditions:
1. Materials submitted to the contest should be done by participant himself
2. Adobe Photoshop or any other software should be used for designing
3. Image size should be (300 widths, 150 height)
4. The designed photo should include national symbols highlighting the celebration of national day; components of Saudi identity might be used such as (image of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, flag, map, landmark)
Judgment criteria
1. Quality & creativity
2. High resolution of images
3. Font and color on design should be matched
4. Elements of the design should be in harmony

Overview:
To draw an artistic portrait reflecting the national day celebration
Conditions:
Materials submitted to the contest should be done by participant himself
Poetry category:
Overview:
To write a poem reflecting the national day celebration
Conditions:
Materials submitted to the contest should be written by participant himself
