As part of the series of workshops organized by the Computer Science and Information College on latest research and teaching methodologies in the field, the information technology department held in the presence of all its faculty members a workshop entitled:
Teaching and Reading of Technical English
Faculty member Dr. Ravindra Singh of the Information Technology Department conducted an invaluably informative seminar on technical jargon in general and the English Language in particular and its role in consolidating students understanding of curricular. Dr. Singh went into the specificities of technical English compared with general English suggesting as he did a number of ways to conduct ESP classes in the college.
An open debate on the subject took place by the end of the workshop between the attending faculty members and Dr. Singh.
