CCIS participates in CISCO’S Webinars

As part of the academic and professional partnerships the College of Computer and Information Sciences has tied with leading global IT companies, the Cisco Networking Academy of the college participated in the webinar, which was held under the banner " Networking to Programming Synergy for Career Excellence, ". The webinar focused on presenting the most important future trends and the needs of the global labor market for jobs. It also highlighted several innovations in the field of networks such as Internet of Things (IoT) and Cybersecurity. The targeted audience was the students (male and female) of all levels and faculty members interested in the field of information security and networks. The registration opportunities were given to all students enrolled in the Academy and those who wished to attend. Hence, 80 students and 10 faculty members attended the webinar. Which was delivered in both Arabic and English by specialists in Cisco from various countries of the world.

It is worth mentioning that the College of Computer and Information Sciences began participating in a series of online workshops on the most recent technologies in the areas of networking, information security, cloud computing, and the Internet of things, through professional academies conducted by specialists and international experts. In this regard CCIS is taking advantage of Internet technologies and live virtual lectures to prepare students for the requirements of the labor market and back up their technical skills before graduation. These courses and webinars - where students get accredited certificates of attendance and participation – witnessed an increase in the number of enrolled students who seek to improve and enrich their skills records in addition to their academic ones.
