Academic Advising Week held by College of Education

Based on the directive of the Dean of College of Education, Dr. Majed Aba-Hussain, the Student Support Unit at the Vice-Dean’s Office for Educational Affairs conducted a lecture for students. A number of staff have participated in giving the lecture which was moderated by Dr. Abdelbaqi Arafah, Head of Student Support Unit.
Dr. Sir Al-Khatim Ahmed, Academic Advisor at English Department, talked about the rules and regulations of the university.
Dr. Fateh Al-Rahman, Head of e-Learning Unit, explained the e-learning system and how to access D2L.
Dr. Abdelhameed Ameen, Head of Academic Advising, guided students on how to face psychological and social issues as well as the role played by the Center of Advising in helping students.
Dr. Mustafa Faroq, Academic Advisor at Arabic Department, explicated to new students how a timetable can be set up.
Several questions were asked about the university regulations such as transfer, excuse, absence hours etc.
