Celebrating Arabic World Day

The Arabic Language Department of Female Campus at the College of Education celebrated the World Language Day on Tuesday 6/4/1441. The theme of this year's event was “Arabic language and Artificial Intelligence”.

The ceremony was attended by College Vice-Dean, Professor Bushra Al-Anzi, department coordinators and several faculty members.

The opening ceremony began with verses from the Holy Quran followed by a speech addressed by the Coordinator of the Arabic Language Department, Professor Wafa al-Hajji, entitled: "Our language on its World Day".

The first session, entitled Arabic Dialects and Artificial Intelligence was presented by Dr. Azza Allam and the second session, titled "Arabic language and Artificial Intelligence Strategy", was presented by the graduate: Sheikha Al-Sanani.
Later, poems of Arab heritage and its context were discussed under an activity titled “Poem and Story”. The celebration concluded with an awarding ceremony in which prizes were awarded to the contributors.

Associated events were held in the College lobby represented by the corners: “Funny Words”, “Arabic intelligence”, “Arabic is prettier” “Common Linguistic Errors”, "Masterpieces Worthy of Publication", "Linguistic Scholars", "Aesthetics of Arabic Language", and "Mother's reprimand for her children".

Finally, the outdoor activities were represented by the Marbad Tent (Poetry, Debates, Novel), and The Sibawayh Café.

The events were prepared and carried out by Professor Haya Al-Arij and Professor Fatima Al-Said.
