Arab Deaf Week and the World Day of Learning Disabilities Celebration

The Community Service Committee at the Special Education Department held an event on the Arab Deaf Week and the World Day of Learning Disabilities, on Monday, 30/07/1439 in the Engineering Clubs Hall.

Dr. Omar Attiyat presented a lecture entitled: “Autistic people with learning disabilities” followed by another lecture by Dr. Ahmed Al-Zahrani on sign language, and its role in communicating with the deaf.

Dr. Abdel Nasser Adam gave a third lecture on the problems and effects of hearing disability, and Dr. Wasif Al-Ayed conducted a seminar on the issues of special education.

At the end of the event, the Dean of the College thanked the Head of Department and the organizers of the event for their efforts, pointing out the importance of implementing quality programs that meet the aspirations of community members and truly reflect the needs and social responsibility of the College of Education.

The Department of Special Education receives the questions of people with special needs on the phone number of the Department this week as part of the activities of the Arab Deaf Week and the World Day of Learning Disabilities.
