A grou of students of the Department of Mechanical and Industrial Engineering visited on Monday, 30/7/1439 the Administration of Operation and Maintenance at Majmah University under the supervision of Dr. Abdul Majid Al-Manea, a faculty member at the Department.
The visit aimed at informing the students about the practical applications of air conditioning and refrigeration materials.
Engineers from the Administration took the students in an exploratory visit to the engineering workshops of operation and maintenance.
The students also checked the modern electrical equipment in air conditioning and refrigeration.
The tour started with a visit to maintenance workshops for cooling and Split air conditioners, the internal components of this type of cooling and air-conditioning equipment, the causes of failure and the methods of maintenance and repair with the latest engineering methods.
The student delegation then visited the air conditioning Units, where students were introduced to the Units i.e. Ciller, Becge, and Consel and the mechanism of air conditioning work.
Additionally, the students checked the site of a project under construction, and they read the design of air conditioning units’ manuals, refrigeration and the location on the engineering construction plans.
In addition, the students were taught how to design thermal loads and read the engineering plans for cooling and air conditioning.
At the end of the visit, the delegation expressed their appreciation for the visit.
The representative of the College, Dr. Abdul Majeed Al-Manea thanked the engineers of the Administration for their time and effort.
