Department Committees

  1. Academic Accreditation Committee: supervising the department’s quality process; preparing the SSR for accreditation. 

  2. Assessment & Evaluation Committee: provide feedback from collected/analyzed data to improve the EE program’s effectiveness.

  3. Bridging Program Committee: administer the bridging program. 

  4. Community Services Committee: enhance educational activities and support researchers; adopt initiatives that address society’s needs.

  5. Documentation & Archiving Committee: identify required data; collect data; process/prepare with statistical analysis; manage archiving/database; unify departmental documents/forms; record all activities; handle QMS documents.

  6. Department Service Committee: prepare the department annual report; support department activities; manage administrative communication; run new-faculty orientation.

  7. Engineering Practice & Alumni Committee: supervise summer-training seminars and reports; follow up with alumni/employers; ensure completion of KPIs, employment rates, and related alumni reports. 

  8. Follow-Up Committee: follow-up on department activities. 

  9. Graduate Studies & Scientific Research Committee: establish/develop graduate programs; manage scholarship documentation; audit distinguish allowance; support faculty research and statistical data. 

  10. Interviewing Committee: review applicants’ documentation. 

  11. Lab Developments Committee: develop EE labs; oversee lab operation, maintenance, and safety. 

  12. Program & Curriculum Committee: supervise all aspects of program development/delivery; develop undergraduate programs and structure. 

  13. Quality Committee: disseminate quality culture; improve academic performance per college/university strategic plans; support national (NCAAA) and international program accreditation. 

  14. Scientific Committee: assess new applicants’ education and research; oversee faculty-promotion application process. 

  15. Senior Design Committee: coordinate all senior project activities. 

  16. Scheduling Program Committee: plan course scheduling; coordinate major exams. 

  17. Strategic Planning & Steering Committee: propose the department strategic plan; propose operational plans; provide direction and counsel to the department. 

  18. Students Research & Assistance Committee: support student research (electives, senior design, micro-projects); run student inductions, seminars, and training courses. 

  19. Undergraduate Coordination & Support Committee: academic advising; monitor undergraduate progress; handle petitions; support students’ learning. 

  20. Web Administration Committee: administer EE websites and virtual servers; encourage faculty website development for learning.
