Introductory Program for Freshmen held at College of Engineering

Under the patronage of the Dean of Engineering College, Dr. Abdullah Al-Abdelkareem, an introductory program for new students was inaugurated on Tuesday in the presence of the Vice-Dean for educational affairs, heads of departments, faculty and students. Welcoming new students on joining the college of engineering, the dean invited them to see the facilities of the college including classrooms, labs and equipment. Dr. Al-Abdelkareem encouraged students to exert maximum efforts and develop their skills to be able to join the college and meet the job market expectations. Selecting the appropriate major, the dean pointed out that students should utilize the introductory program held by the engineering college via paying a close attention to the explanations provided by faculty members about each scientific department. Dr. Saleh Al-Dahsh, Vice-Dean for Educational Affairs, advised students harness the information provided to them on this day and reminded students that the academic major should match their scientific interests, highlighting that job vacancies for engineering are available. The Head of Student Activity, Dr. Tariq Nabil presented a detailed explanation of the idea of extra-curricular at the college and its benefits. A Q&A session was held by the faculty members in which they answered students’ questions related to selecting the right major based on students’ personality
