A Workshop held to qualify academic programs applying for Program Accreditation

Under the patronage of the dean of College of Engineering, the Deanship of Quality & Skills Development conducted a workshop at the College of Engineering, presented by both Dr. Bashayer al-Rumaih and Dr. Mutwali Ismael. The aim of the workshop is to qualify the academic programs at the college to meet the requirements of the program accreditation.

A specialized workshop was also held to prepare the college’s leaders and faculty members for Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology (ABET).

The workshop was attended by the dean, Dr. Saleh al-Dhash, in the presence of vice-deans, heads of academic departments, members & coordinators of Quality Unit and faculty members of electrical and civil engineering programs.

The workshop addressed several topics, most notably, the requirements of ABET at the leadership, faculty and students level as well as the expected questions from the delegation of National Center for Academic Accreditation and Evaluation and how to answer them.

At the end of the visit, the dean, Dr. al-Dhash extended his thanks to the visit team, inviting them to repeat such visits to prepare the college for the visit which will take place in mid-November.
