College of Engineering participates in National Day 89th Celebration organized by Social Development Committee in Hermah

On the approval of MU Rector, Dr. Khalid Al-Mugren, and under the patronage of Hermah Center, Mr. Saud Al-Madi, the College of Engineering took part in the celebration of national day 89th held on Monday by the Social Development Committee in the public park of Hermah. The celebration was held in the presence of the Mayor of Majmaah, Eng. Fahad Al-Rumaih. Among the participants in this event are King Khalid Hospital in Majmaah, Civil Defense, Insan Association for Orphans. The Engineering College was reperested by Mr. Moayed Al-Jaser, manager of administrative and financial affairs, Dr. Ahmed Jalal, coordinator of community service at the department of electricity, a member of PR Unit, Mr. Abdelrahman Al-Jaber. Several activities were conducted such as national plays, shows for Arabian horses and acrobatic games. Educational leaflets, prepared by Community Service Unit, on safety from electrical hazards and rationalizing energy consumption at homes. The leaflets also included important topics on methods of prevention and safety of electricity in kitchens and bathrooms as well as the correct way to deal with electric water heaters, electrical outlets and portable electrical appliances. Methods of first aid in cases of electric shock were also mentioned in the leaflets. Visitors of the college’s stand were impressed with the invaluable information in the leaflets which manifest the contributions of the college to the local community.
