Welcome to the webpage of the Department of Computer Science and Information at the College of Science, Majmaah University. The College was established in Zulfi in 1426 AH as one of the earliest colleges that paved the way for the launch of the university - MU was later established in 1430 AH-.
Since its establishment, the department has played an active role in qualifying students in the fields of computer science and information technology and keeping pace with the technological and digital transformation witnessed by the Kingdom in light of Saudi Vision 2030.
The establishment of the department came in response to the growing demand for qualified specialists in computer science and in support of the digital transformation pursuit - a key pillar of sustainable development. Currently, the department offers two academic programs: Computer Science and Information Technology. The programs are delivered within a stimulating academic environment that integrates theoretical knowledge with practical application. The department seeks to equip students with the knowledge and skills that enable them to contribute effectively to building an advanced digital future.
The department also places great emphasis on scientific research, innovation, and student projects. It strives to develop the skills of its faculty members and students and boosts its academic and community partnerships to serve the objectives of the university and the national vision.
Finally, we hope to achieve the mission of the department, the college, and the university.
Dr. Riyad Mohammed Al-Meshrafi
Head of the Department of Computer Science and Information
