:Discussion and analysis of scientific research and innovation activities

 

In our biology department, during the academic year 2024 -2025, 26 scientific articles have been published in high-impact journals across various biological fields. The highest impact factor of the published journal -International Journal of Biological Macromolecules (Q1-IF 8.5)  

 

The number of citations from the biology department was 10724 till August 18, 2025. As per the Stanford University analysis, the publications from our Professor, Dr. Mohammed Saleh Al Aboody and Dr. Suresh Mickymaray, have reached high citations and ranked in the world's top 2%  scientists list. .There are 2 Journal club meetings conducted during this academic year  

The Scientific topics covered are:  Dr. Suresh Mickymaray, Dr. Mohammed Hazaimeah, and Dr. Amal  

 

   :Area of Need for Improvement

  • There are seven research articles published by female faculty. There were 14 publications in the previous academic year  

 

  • Need to be encouraged for more publications by providing lab, infrastructure, and funding facilities 

 

:Conclusion

  • Further motivation and scope for research sources to be communicated frequently   among faculty members to publish more articles
