Responsibilities of the Postgraduate and Scientific Research Unit

  1. Overseeing faculty affairs and coordinating with relevant entities regarding promotion requests, sabbatical leave, conference participation, and other matters.

  2. Supporting teaching assistants and lecturers by guiding them in enhancing the language skills required by international academic institutions.

  3. Facilitating and following up on the procedures related to the scholarship and study abroad programs for teaching assistants and lecturers.

  4. Maintaining communication with those on scholarship during their study period to promote knowledge exchange and integrate global expertise by involving them in international academic activities.

  5. Actively contributing to resolving challenges faced by scholarship recipients.

  6. Liaising with global academic institutions affiliated with Majmaah University to activate agreements for the admission of teaching assistants and lecturers.

  7. Conducting visits to target universities and signing agreements to coordinate the admission process for teaching assistants and lecturers.

  8. Communicating with top international universities to understand admission requirements and deadlines.

  9. Providing support to teaching assistants and lecturers by simplifying the scholarship procedures.

  10. Proposing general policies for the selection and distribution of teaching assistants and lecturers across the college departments.

  11. Receiving and reviewing applicants’ files from the Human Resources Department.

  12. Forwarding all applications to the relevant academic departments for evaluation, testing, and conducting interviews as needed.

  13. Following up on files with departments and returning them to the unit after receiving approvals from the specialized councils.

  14. Ensuring that all nominated candidates undergo the necessary tests and interviews and meet all eligibility requirements.

  15. Monitoring the regulations of the Council of Universities’ Affairs and presenting them to the relevant committees for discussion and decision-making.

  16. Reviewing recommendations regarding the transfer of lecturers and teaching assistants to administrative roles within the university or their referral to the Civil Service Bureau.
