A Workshop by the College of Science on “Clean and Safe Laboratory Practices in Science Disciplines”

The College of Science, represented by the Volunteering and Community Service Unit and in collaboration with the Department of Chemistry, organized a workshop titled “Clean and Safe Laboratory Practices in Science Majors.”

The workshop was delivered by Dr. Ahlam Al-Mutairi, to students in the Department of Chemistry.

The session covered key safety standards, including the proper use of personal protective equipment and safe handling of chemicals and laboratory equipment. It also addressed proper storage methods and environmentally responsible disposal of chemical waste.

The workshop emphasized the role of individuals in maintaining a clean and organized laboratory environment to reduce risks and improve efficiency.

It concluded with practical applications and interactive discussions about the importance of following safety practices to ensure a safe and well-organized laboratory.
