The Guidance, Counseling, and Student Rights Unit holds a Training Workshop

The Vice-Dean’s Office for Educational Affairs and Development, represented by the Guidance, Counseling and Student Rights Unit and in collaboration with the Department of Biology, conducted a training workshop titled “An Introduction to the Student Portal and Academic Advising.” The session was presented by Ms. Mona Al-Fawzan.

The workshop clarified the concept and importance of academic advising for students and outlined the key information students should review upon joining the university. It covered essential procedures such as add/drop courses.

The students were introduced on how to contact their academic advisor, and the advisor’s role and the students’ responsibilities within the advising process. The session provided a practical walkthrough of the academic system portal—demonstrating available services, the various academic transactions and procedures, and how to use them step-by-step.
