The Unit of Student Engagement, in collaboration with the Biology Department, recently hosted a training workshop titled "Emotional Intelligence and Psychological Adjustment in University Life." The session was led by Dr. Zainab Al-Tahir.
The workshop aimed to raise awareness among students about the importance of emotional intelligence in both academic and social life. As university life brings new responsibilities, greater independence, and a wide range of social interactions, learning to adapt emotionally and mentally becomes essential for success.
Students were introduced to the core concepts of emotional intelligence—understanding, managing, and expressing emotions effectively. Key areas covered included self-awareness, self-regulation, motivation, empathy, and social skills.
These skills play a vital role in helping students handle stress, build strong relationships, and maintain a healthy balance between academic and personal life.
