The College of Sciences

The Vice-Dean's Office for Postgraduate Studies and Scientific Research, represented by the Laboratories and Information Technology Unit, held, in cooperation with the Biology Department, a workshop entitled: “Laboratory Safety and Security”.

The workshop was presented by two students: Saud Al-Sahli and Abdulaziz Al-Shammari under the supervision of Dr. Mustafa Iraqi, Assistant Professor in the Department. The students highlighted the safety and security procedures in biology laboratories, the procedures that must be followed in biology laboratories and how to deal with biological materials and the safety procedures in microbiology, zoology and botany laboratories, dealing with chemicals during experiments, and dealing with emergency situations that may occur during work in laboratories. 

At the end of the workshop, a Q&A session was held for students and the presenter of the workshop.
