A seminar by Department of Computer Science entitled "Towards a new safer Cyber Security posture using Cryptographic algorithm"

The Scientific Research Committee at the Department of Computer Sciences and Information held a seminar entitled: “Towards a new safer Cyber Security posture using Cryptographic algorithm”.

The seminar was presented by Jenan Al-Khanini and Shurooq Al-Darwish, students in the department, and addressed a study of a research project in improving the performance of encryption algorithms to enhance information security to be an ideal process for those who want to increase security, accuracy and efficiency by combining hybrid encryption algorithms with traditional algorithms.

The main objective of the proposed research project is:

• Describe encryption and application of encryption algorithms.

• Proposing a high-security model that guarantees the confidentiality of data transmission in the internal network by means of these algorithms.

• Reduce the risk of cyber attacks and prevent a third party from reading the data.

• Providing increased verification of the authentication of the origin of the message and verifying the integrity of its contents.
