University Vice Rector Visit to College of Applied Medical Sciences.

The University Vice Rector for Graduate Studies and Scientific Research Prof. Mohamed bin Abdullah AL Shaya paid an inspection visit to the college of applied medical sciences on Wednesday 4/1/1438 H. Dr. AL Shaya was welcomed by the dean Dr. Fahd Bin Khaled AL Thufiri and the college vice dean for graduate studies and scientific research Dr. Abdulaziz bin Abdullah AL Dkhail.

Dr. AL Thufiri took the floor first to welcome the vice rector and thanked him for such a visit which he said is the habit of university leaders. The three executives discussed then the latest developments related to scholarship holders and the importance to make all effort to support them and facilitate their study so that they gain the competences needed to serve their country. The executive trio discussed after that the importance to choose excellent candidates and appoint new TA's and lecturers. The vice rector expressed the desire of his department to set up a research unit in the college aimed to vivify research and specialized studies in addition to a unit of student innovation. Dr. AL Shaya also stressed the necessity to take into consideration the quality of journals where faculty members' papers are published because of the positive impact journals have on faculty's scientific level as well as the university. Finally, the vice rector answered a number of queries raised by the college vice deans and department heads.

The college leaders thanked the university executive for his generous visit before he left the college.
