Unit of Community Service at the Faculty of Applied Medical Science organizes an Event on the Perfect Body Shape and Useful Sports

Pursuing the social role of the Faculty of Applied Medical Science in promoting awareness and health knowledge in the community, and upon the request of the Faculty's Dean, Dr. Fahd Bin Khalid Al-Zofairy, the Unit of Community Service organized an event of the Deanship of the Faculty of Postgraduates and Scientific Research, with the presence of the Deputy-Dean of the Medical Sciences Faculty for Post Graduate Studies and Research, Dr. Abdul Aziz Al-Dakheel, concerning the Perfect Body Shape and Useful Sports, which was held on Monday corresponding to 29/04/1437 AH in King Abdu-Allah Secondary School in Majmaah University, in which Dr. Salama Al-Daagah talked about the meaning and characteristics of perfect shape and the ways of maintaining a good body shape, as well as the role of sports and healthy nutrition in the development of body shape. Dr. Abdul Aziz Al-Dakheel also addressed the importance of playing sports and exercising. Dr. Al-Dakheel, in addition, explained the Departments and Programmes of the Faculty and the fields of work for its graduates. During the activities of the event, Dr. Mohammed Siam and the Faculty members conducted several tests for the attendees from students and teachers of the Faculty, such as; an early detection of body malformation test, Pulmonary function tests, heart functions, height and weight tests and body mass index test. At the end of the event, a Memorial Shield was awarded by the Faculty to the University Management, which expressed their gratitude and appreciation to the Faculty and university of Majmaah, expressing their interest and desire to hold such event once more
