The E-learning and Distance Learning Unit at the College of Applied Medical Sciences held on Monday and Tuesday, 20-21 / 1/1437 AH, a training session titled “Flipped Classroom". The session was presented by Ms. Amal Zahran, the coordinator of the unit and a certified trainer at the Deanship of E-Learning and Distance Learning. The session was aimed at raising the trainees’ awareness of the crucial role of the ‘flipped classroom’ technique in the educational process, presenting some important e-learning-related concepts, mechanisms of integrating this technique into the educational practices, as well as illustrating the use of the various tools of this technique. It is also worth mentioning that the faculty members have, in a previous session, been trained on how to produce an educational video, which is essential to achieving the goals of the ‘flipped classroom’ technique.
