With regards to the perspective of the College of Applied Medical Sciences in the Majmaah University about activating the community partnership and extending the bridges of communication and cooperation with the related health authorities, and with the assignment of His Excellency the Dean of the College of Applied Medical Sciences, Dr Nacer Ben Ali Aljar Allah, a delegation from the medical laboratory science section in the College of Applied Medical Sciences in the Majmaah University visited the King Faisal Hospital and Research Center in Riyadh on Tuesday, the 30th of October 2014, in order to have an idea about the available resources in the different medical laboratory sections in the hospital. The visit also offered possibility to search for cooperation partners and how to hold a cooperation agreement between the College of Applied Medical Sciences in the Majmaah University and the King Faisal Hospital to pave the way for much more favored training opportunities for the students of the faculty and qualifying them for competition in the labor market and cooperation in the field of scientific research for the teachers as well as the students. The Delegation attended a reception hosted by his majesty, the Head of the pathology and laboratory medicine, Dr Said Dayel, who started with welcoming his Excellency, Dr Raed Ben Salim Bradii, the College vice-dean for Higher Education and Scientific Research, as well as the delegation that was accompanying him and consisting of the teaching staff in the medical laboratory section. During the meeting, ways of cooperation between the college and the hospital were discussed and some future visions were highlighted concerning the possibility of taking advantage of the available resources in the hospital so that the students of the college would enjoy much more privileged training opportunities. After that, the delegation had a tour of the various medical laboratory sections. The delegates also listened to a brief explanation from some specialists about the available machines in those sections. At the end of the visit, the chairman of the delegation, Dr Raed Bradii, thanked his majesty, the Head of the pathology and laboratory medicine, and all the teamwork in the medical laboratory sections in the name of his Excellency, the Dean of the college, for their hospitality and warm welcome.
