College Dean and Department Directors Meet Preparatory Year Students

The dean of the Applied Medical Sciences College Dr. Fahd bin Khaled AL Thufiri inaugurated on Tuesday 30/1/1438 the meeting organized by the deanship of students affairs with the students of the preparatory year. The college vice deans, department directors and a large number of students attended the meeting which was started by the speech of the dean who welcomed freshmen and wished them progress and success. The dean pointed to the fact that all college officials' doors are open for students to inquire and to facilitate any obstacle they might face during their first year of study.

The dean advised freshmen to regularly attend lectures and abide by their academic plans as well as communicate with the academic advisors in the college. Moreover, the dean stressed the care the college gives to form excellent students as it set up training units (training, innovation, graduates) to qualify them to the job market. In the same vein, Dr. AL Thufiri said that the college works bridge the gap between students and both the administration and the deanship to better serve their interests. The floor was then given to the department directors to introduce the university and college systems.

The department directors' presentations included an overview of the academic departments, academic advisors and their roles, modifying timetables, adding and dropping subjects as well as conditions of transfer between departments. At the end of the meeting students had the chance to ask questions which were answered by the meeting hosts.
