College of Applied Medical Sciences Participates in the GCC Week for Oral and Dental Health

Upon the directives of the college dean Dr. Fahd Bin Khaled AL Thufiri, the community service unit in the college vice deanship for graduate studies and scientific research participated in the events of the GCC Week for Oral and Dental Health which took place in Majmah Municipality Courtyard under the banner "Teeth are both health and beauty.". The event was executed under the patronage of His Royal Highness Prince Abdulrahman bin Abdullah bin Faysal AL Saud, the governor of Majmaah who visited the college stand and praised its distinguished participation. His Royal Highness honored the college with a shield of appreciation which was given to the college vice dean for graduate studies and scientific research Dr. Abdulaziz AL Dkhil. Moreover, Dr. Malek bin Thaher AL Hsinaoui, the manager of King Khaled Hospital checked the college stand and praised the efforts of the college and its representatives in the exhibition. The community service unit team prepared flyers and banners on the roles played by different college departments in preserving oral and dental health.

In this respect, the college stand was visited by numerous primary and high school pupils as well as common people of an average of 100 visitor per day for five days starting from Sunday 18/6/1437 AH until Tuesday 20/6/1437 AH for men and from Wednesday 21/6/1437 until Thursday 22/6/1437 for women. The head of the community service unit, Dr. Mohamed Siam and the college excellence students made sugar tests as well as length and weight proportionate mass calculation for attending students and visiting people in general.

Furthermore, Dr. Randa Ismail the assistant to the vice dean for graduate studies and scientific research supervised together with the female students in the college the execution of the program in the days reserved for women over morning and evening shifts. Visitors extended their thanks to the college and Majmaah University and expressed their wishes to repeat such event.
