The college of applied medical sciences held the preparatory meeting for a workshop on nanotechnology and its applications in medicine.

The college of applied medical sciences extends its thanks to the university rector for his permission to hold a workshop namely “Nano-technology and its applications in medicine”, the workshop was held based upon the written permission of the conferences, forums, exhibitions and general events head of committee, letter referenced M/L/39, dated 14/07/2013. The workshop was honored by the presence of the representatives of an international organization that specialises in nanotechnology namely Silica-Valley for nanotechnology, the college dean, college’s vice dean for further education and research, scientific departments heads, representatives from the quality department in the college, and the head of PR committee in the college too. Among what was discussed during the meeting; the relevant arrangements required for holding the workshop in a number of locations in the college for it to benefit more than one college in the university such as the college of engineering, it was agreed that the workshop would host a number of speakers from various areas of specialties, it was also agreed that there should be a female speaker in order to engage the female counterpart of the college and maximize the benefits for both male and female students, it was also agreed that the selection of workshop speakers should be based on experience and unique field of specialty and expertise in nanotechnology in the world.
