The Department of Physical Therapy and Health Rehabilitation at the College of Applied Medical Sciences held the meeting of the Advisory Board of the Department on Monday, 20/04/1436 AH, at Carawan Al Fahad Hotel in Riyadh. The Dean of the College Dr. Nasser bin Ali Al Jarallah chaired the meeting in the presence of Prof. Sami bin Saleh Al Abdulwahhab, Medical Rehabilitation Sciences Professor at King Saud University, Dr. Hisham bin Mohammed Al-Haidari, Director of Prince Sultan Support Services Center for Special Education, Dr. Abdulhakim Al-Majid," Chief Executive Officer of Riyadh-based Company ASILAH, Dr. Zayed bin Khalid Al Khma'le" Assistant Professor at the Department of Medical Devices , University of Majmaah, Dr. Khaled bin Ahmed Al-Ghamdi, First Specialist and Director of Physical Therapy Department at King Khaled Hospital in Majmaah, Dr. Abdulkarim bin Sulaiman Al Hamid, Senior Specialist at Prince Sultan Military Medical City in Riyadh, Dr. Fadil bin Ahmed Abdel-Wadood, Head of Physical Therapy Department at the College of Applied Medical Sciences at the University of Majmaah, and Mr. Nayef bin Ziyad Al-Rashidi, Teaching Assistant at the Department of Physical Therapy, College of Applied Medical Sciences at the University of Majmaah. Several topics were discussed during the meeting including: 1. Vision of the Department 2. Quality assurance mechanism at the Department of Physical Therapy 3.Development of clinical training 4.Suggestion of setting up a department for Prosthetics. Furthermore, a number of recommendations came out as the following: 1. Support the proposal of setting up a department for Prosthetics 2. Support the ratio of students per faculty member at the department as excellent. 3.Provide the opportunity for professionals to teach some courses. The Dean of the college expressed then his thanks to the members of the Board who worked so hard, spending time and making efforts to effectively lead to the development of the college.
