Message from the Head of Department

The Department of Physics at the College of Science in Zulfi was established in 1427 AH with a small number of faculty members who developed the department to be among the best departments locally and internationally. At a later stage, more qualified academic staff joined the department and contribute to substance and value to qualify students to meet the growing demand of the local labor market.

To achieve the department’s mission of improving the quality of outcomes and forming community partnership, the department is constantly reviewing its study plan in line with the change of local and international market.

The department has encouraged faculty members and teaching assistants to improve their skills in scientific research and providing them with the state-of-the-art scientific research equipment. A a result, a number of papers were published in peer-reviewed international ISI journals. The department also strives to expand its scientific research base through cooperation with other scientific departments at MU and other universities.
