Meeting With College Supervisor

Under the auspices of the Vice-dean of the College of Applied Medical Sciences in the female sections, Dr. Amal Al-Etibi, a video -conference meeting was held on Wednesday, 01.07.1436 AH between the college students and the Supervisor of the Female Sections, Dr. Fahad Al-Thifiri,. “I would like to begin this meeting by welcoming all the present students from all the departments, and tell you that you’re the core of this meeting,” Dr.Thifiri commenced. He added, “This meeting is certainly for you to know your rights and duties in the college. You must attend your lectures and be punctual as much as you can.” Then, he went on advising the college students, “Also, You should participate in the student activities and the Student Advising Council.” The College supervisor explained that students could – for the first time since the establishment of the College- elect the members of the Student Advising Council. Dr. Thifiri urged all the students who meet the requirements to run for the Council’s elections. Furthermore, he encouraged other college students to actively participate in the election and vote for the candidates they see fit for the position so that the Council can achieve its objectives. “I know this is the first time for you to vote in an election in the college, but this council is established for your own service, and you should help in its success by casting your votes and participating in its activities in the future,” Dr. Thifiri said. “Each student should set goals for herself and work on accomplishing them because this goal setting is the drive to success in college and life in general,” Dr. Thifiri continued. Dr. Thifiri said that the college administration is doing the best to serve the students and help them achieve their academic goals. He also touched on the essential role of academic counselors and the need to communicate with them so as to understand the academic rules and regulations. At the end of the meeting, Dr. Thifiri answered all the students’ enquiries about the relative topics addressed in the meeting. Then, he concluded the meeting by wishing the students success in their academic life.
