International Day of People with a Disability Celebration

Out of the Interest of the Faculty of Applied Medical Sciences in celebrating the International Day of People with a Disability on December 3rd, 2016, the Unit of Community Service at the Department of Graduate Studies and Research at the Faculty organized a celebration entitled “Our Will-Our Distinction” in recognition of people with disability. The celebration took place at the Comprehensive Rehabilitation Center in Majmaah on Tuesday, 06/12/2016. Dr. Abdul-Aziz Al-Dekhayl- Vice-dean for Graduate Studies and Dr. Muhammad Siam-Head of the Unit- along with several faculty members visited the Rehabilitation Center, where 2 lectures about the latest developments in physiotherapy and the modern equipment in the field were given by both Mr. Fizan Thafir and Mr. Rada Krishan. The personnel at the Center along with the Manager welcomed the visitors and thanked them for such a valuable initiative, serving the University community through participation in events and support of the individuals, hoping for such contribution to continue. The Vice-dean thanked the Head of the Center and the personnel for their reception of the celebration and gave the manager a memorial shield in recognition for his contribution to the activities. Furthermore, the Vice-dean distributed flowers to the patients and workers of the Center, showing such patients that they are not alone and expressing gratitude for the workers for their service of those patients.
