Preamble

Nursing as a job is considered a vital part of the Health Service provision, as it is the case in the region and the world, the Kingdom suffers from a great shortage of cross levels nursing human resources. The goal of, the department of Nursing at the College of Applied Sciences, is to prepare well qualified Nurses able to fill such shortage in the Health Service system in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

The General framework for the Bachelor in Nursing program includes; Anthropic, Medical, Applied (practical) and courses specific to Nursing.

The department of Nursing, at the College of Applied Medical Sciences, aspires to becoming an exemplar model in the teaching of nursing and scientific research between Nursing Colleges and Academies, on the local, national and international level.

The preparation of well qualified professional nurses able to provide quality high end holistic to individuals, families and communities that is based on commitment in education, practice, research and collaboration.

  1. Prepare an outstanding atmosphere for learning, for students to become highly qualified and able to be fit for responsibility and decision making in critical circumstances.
  2. The collaborating with Health institutions and academies to overcome the shortage of nurses in the Kingdom.
  3. Offering quality Health Care for individuals, families and communities using education and scientific research.

Graduating requirements

In order to achieve this degree, students are required to pass 127 credit hours, divided into 8 semesters, followed by a one year practical training in a hospital.
