Social Development Program

Volunteering is important in developing students character and endorsing the sense of belonging. It is an effective means to develop society and participate in the efforts made for its progress and well-being. Out of belief in the importance of volunteering, the Student Activities Secretariat organized on Wednesday 1/5/1437 from 9-11 in the college amphitheater a seminar entitled Volunteering: Reality and Challenges. The seminar was the joint initiative of Dr. Jihan Fareed and Dr. Iman Hamdi from the Special Education Department, Dr. Khawater Moussa from the Islamic Studies Department and the representative of AL Insaan Association, Mrs. Sarra AL Qashami. The seminar covered a number of subjects which are: 1. presenting the importance, aims and areas of volunteering. 2. Duties and rights of the volunteer. 3. Volunteering in Islamic society. 4. Volunteering and community service. 5. Impediments to Volunteering.
