Transferring from one college to another within the university
First, the rules and regulations of transferring from one college to another within the university:
1. The Dean of the destination college approval in accordance with the regulations issued by the college’s council.
2. The student should not have spent a duration of more than 4 academic semesters without counting the semesters of the preparatory programs, such as (Preparatory Year and English Intensive Training Course) in the duration.
3. The transfer procedures should be completed during the first week of the semester.
4. The student is not allowed to transfer before completing at least one semester.
5. The student is allowed to transfer only once or twice if the first time was during the preparatory year or the intensive course.
6. A student who has transferred to preparatory year or the intensive course will be sent back to his previous department if he did not pass and that is only for one time.
7. Majoring after passing the preparatory programs is not counted from the transfer movements.
Second, transfer procedures from one college to another within the university:
When the terms of transferring are met the student should do the following:-
- Going back to his college to print out a transfer form and sign it -from the person in charge.
- Submitting the transfer form to the destination college to obtain the transfer approval.
- After the destination college’s approval, he must submit the transfer form to the Deanship of Admission to obtain the final approval according to the academic system executing rules and regulation.
Third, Courses Equivalency:
The process of courses equivalency is being executed automatically when transferring from one college to another, and if some courses were not equated the student has to fill a course equivalency form and submit it to the college to obtain approval and then hand it to the Deanship of Admission to be confirmed and executed.
Note: All the courses that were taken previously by a transfer student will be included in his academic record and this contains his cumulative GPAs and term GPAs during all of his study duration.
