5.6.6Women’s Mentoring Schemes at Majmaah University
Majmaah University provides women’s mentoring schemes with at least 10% of female students participating. The university implements structured mentoring and guidance programs that support female students academically and professionally. For example, Majmaah’s colleges offer academic advising and guidance services to all students (including women), ensuring they receive continuous mentorship throughout their studies m.mu.edu.sa. These mentorship initiatives range from academic counseling to career-oriented workshops and competitions, actively engaging a significant portion of the female student body (well above the 10% threshold). Notably, the Vice Presidency for Female Student Affairs organizes specialized workshops to enhance women’s entrepreneurial skills and leadership roles, reflecting the university’s commitment to female empowerment m.mu.edu.sa m.mu.edu.sa.
In addition to these mentoring programs, the university has implemented several initiatives to support and elevate women in the academic community:
Collaboration Agreements for Training:
Majmaah University has signed cooperation agreements with public and private sector institutions to provide students (including female students) with practical training opportunities in various in-demand professions. These partnerships are aimed at equipping graduates with job-market skills and creating more employment opportunities mu.edu.sa. For example, the Employment and Alumni Affairs Center at MU partnered with entities like Majmaah Municipality and private companies to train students and improve their competitiveness in the labor market mu.edu.sa.

Under the patronage of MU rector, Prof. Saleh Al-Mizil, the Employment and Alumni Affairs Center (EAAC) at MU signed multiple of agreements with a number of private sectors and Majmaah Municipality.
The agreements signed by the vice-rector for educational affairs, Prof. Mohammed Al-Oboudi, aim to train graduates to compete in the labor market and create more job opportunities.
Prof. Al-Oboudi pointed out that these agreements focus on achieving integration with concerned sectors and to achieve the goals of EAAC, noting that MU rector's support to all activities held by the center has contributed to improving the quality of services provided to beneficiaries.
The sectors with whom the university formed partnership are: Aram Meem LLC, Majmaah Municipality, Sudair One Renewable Energy Company (SOREC) and Vein Medical Laboratories.
Dr. Saleh Al-Rashidi, the supervisor of EAAC, said that the center, since it establishment, has been offering programs to qualify graduates for the market. A total of 44 workshops were conducted on topics such as writing CV, interview, how to search for jobs, popular sites and applications for employment.
The center also provides courses to prepare students for professional certificates and licenses.
In response to the feedback sent by public and privates sectors, the center works hand in hand with colleges to offer developmental courses such as Business English.
The agreements were signed by the vice-rector, Prof. Al-Oboudi, in the presence of MU rector, and Mr. Zeyad Al-Ajlan, CEO of Aram Meem, Mr. Saud Al-Sahali, director of human resource development at Majmaa Municipality, Eng. Yahya Al-Khashi, CEO of SOREC and Mr. Talal Mohammed, CEO of VML.
Establishment of Women-Focused Centers:
The university empowers women through the creation of dedicated centers and units that focus on female students and staff. For instance, a Female Services Center at the women’s campus provides support and runs programs highlighting women’s roles in society – the center’s director emphasized showcasing the role of women in achieving the country’s Vision 2030 mu.edu.sa. Additionally, Majmaah University’s Institute of Consulting Services acts as a “consultancy center,” offering professional guidance, training, and expert consultations to the community and to students of both genders mu.edu.sa. There is also a Student and Professional Support department that coordinates advising, skills development, and career support for students and alumni, thereby functioning as a professional support center to prepare all students (male and female) for success in their careers mu.edu.sa. These centers collectively contribute to an environment that nurtures female talent and provides resources tailored to women’s academic and professional growth.
The General Department of Services at female campus celebrated the women’s world day by a wide-range of activities inside the center.
The Director of the Center, Miss. Tahani Al-Suheim, said that the aim of this participation is to highlight the role of women in achieving the country’s vision. She extended her thanks to the General Supervisor of the Department, Mr. Moteb Al-Maymoni, for following-up the activities of the Center.
The Students and Alumni Support Department (SASD) is one the departments that is subsumed under the Vice-Rector Office for Educational Affairs and is concerned about planning, coordinating and following-up the services provided to all students at college and alumni.

1. Measure the services provided to students by departments at the university
2. Determine the prospect needs for students based on the University vision and expectations
3. Find out students with special needs and provide them with suitable programs
4. Promote the culture of academic advising as a measure to solve students daily academic and educational problems
5. Promote the culture of dialogue and student advising sessions and activate their role at the University level
6. Strengthen the relationship between the University, alumni and society organizations to achieve mutual benefit
7. Measure the perspective of businessmen towards alumni
8. Communicate regularly with employed alumni and measure their job performance as well as benefit from their experience
Holistic Support and Empowerment Goals:
The initiatives and centers at Majmaah University have clear mandates to support female staff and students, stimulate their involvement in research, address community issues (especially those related to women), and ultimately empower women to take on national development roles. University leadership actively encourages women’s participation in research and leadership. For example, the Vice-Rector for Female Student Affairs noted that empowering women in all fields, especially scientific research, aligns with Saudi Vision 2030 and is strongly supported by the university m.mu.edu.sa. By involving successful female faculty in decision-making and showcasing women in leadership positions, Majmaah University also provides role models for students, challenging stereotypes and enhancing women’s contributions as key participants in the university’s progress and in the broader national development strategy mu.edu.sa mu.edu.sa.

Under the direction of His Excellency the University President, Dr. Khalid bin Saad Al-Muqrin, the University Vice President for Female Student Affairs, Dr. Jawaher bint Abdulrahman Al-Omar, attended the Women's Empowerment in Scientific Research Forum , organized by the Deanship of Scientific Research at Umm Al-Qura University, which was held on Sunday and Monday, 6-7/7/1441 AH. Her Excellency the University Vice President for Female Student Affairs emphasized that such forums are in line with the Kingdom's Vision 2030 in terms of empowering women in all fields, especially in the field of scientific research. A number of university leaders attended, Her Excellency the Vice President for Scientific Research for Female Students' Sections, Dr. Huda Al-Barrak , and Her Excellency the Vice President for Sciences and Humanities in Al-Hotah, Dr. Noura Al-Shehri. For her part, Her Excellency the Vice President expressed her thanks to His Excellency the University President for giving the opportunity to female leaders at the university to participate in this forum.

Under the patronage of His Excellency the President of the University, Prof. Saleh bin Abdullah Al-Mizil, the University, represented by the Deanship of Quality and Skills Development, held an honoring ceremony for the winners of the President's Award for Quality and Excellence in its tenth session 1442 AH - 1443 AH, which is held by the Deanship on an annual basis, and under the supervision of the University Agency for Educational Affairs, and the ceremony was attended by university vice-rectors, deans of colleges and supporting deanships, directors of departments, and participants in the award from its various categories.
The ceremony began with a speech from the Acting Dean of Quality and Skills Development, Dr. Riyadh Al-Mishrafi, in which he reviewed the most prominent achievements of the Deanship for this year 1443 AH, as well as the criteria and procedures of the award, and indicated in his speech that the number of programs that have obtained accreditation is eight programs within the programs offered by the university, and that the application for 7 other programs has been completed and waiting for the accreditation decision, and work is currently underway on 8 other programs during the next year - God willing - within the framework of The Deanship to prepare programs to obtain academic accreditation, and maintain institutional accreditation, indicating during the presentation that the Deanship carried out the internal audit for this year for 25 programs, 26 departments, and 9 deanships, and the program of visiting the review team from the National Accreditation Center for Advanced Programs was simulated.
He also pointed out in his speech in addition to development and training, and that the Deanship has held many courses and workshops in several fields such as academic accreditation and its requirements, evaluation methods, and skills development for administrators and faculty members.
At the end of the ceremony, the Vice President of the University, Prof. Musallam bin Muhammad Al-Dosari, honored the winners of students, faculty members, employees, academic programs, supporting deanships, departments, and teams working in the award, where they received from His Excellency a certificate of thanks on this occasion.

Under the patronage of the President of the University, Prof. Saleh bin Abdullah Al-Mizil, the University Vice Presidency for Female Student Affairs held a package of workshops specialized in developing and refining entrepreneurial skills to enhance the pioneering and strategic role of women at the university during the second semester of the year 1444 AH. Within the initiative (Saudi Civilized Women)
The workshops were presented over a period of two weeks and received a distinguished attendance of (215) university employees, and the Vice President for Female Student Affairs opened the package concerned with the importance of the pioneering role of Saudi women during the era of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz, may God protect him, and the importance of acquiring entrepreneurial skills in accordance with the ambitious vision of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia 2030, and the activities began with a workshop entitled (Pioneering Leadership Transformation and Change Management) presented by Her Excellency Dr. Mona Jaber Ahmed, a faculty member at the College of Science and Human Pedals in Ghat, followed by the second workshop Which was presented by Her Excellency Dr. Dalal Abdel Aal, a faculty member at the College of Business Administration, entitled Entrepreneurial Behavior (Entrepreneurship and Creativity Skills), and finally concluded the workshops specialized in developing and refining entrepreneurial skills with a workshop entitled: Entrepreneurial Leadership (Reality and Requirements) presented by Ms. Jawaher bint Muhammad Al-Zoman, a faculty member at the College of Business Administration, and all workshops dealt with the importance of entrepreneurial leadership and the role of women in making change and creativity within the Kingdom's Vision 2030.
In conclusion, the Vice President for Female Student Affairs expressed her thanks and appreciation for the support and sponsorship of the President of the University and everything that would develop and refine women's skills and their strategic leadership role at Majmaah University.

Each of these efforts – from mentoring schemes and training partnerships to specialized support centers – ensures that at least 10% of female students (and in many cases far more) are actively engaged in development programs. These initiatives demonstrate Majmaah University’s comprehensive approach to empowering its female students and staff, giving them the mentorship, skills training, and institutional support needed to succeed and lead in their fields m.mu.edu.sa mu.edu.sa.
