Appointments Committee

Tasks of the Committee:

 

- Examining and auditing candidates' applications to the position of assistant professor or above.
- Conducting interviews for candidates for the position of assistant professor or above.
- Recommending approval or disapproval of applications for appointment to the position of assistant professor or above.
- Recommending approval or disapproval of transfer requests for faculty members and the like.
- Undertaking any other tasks assigned to the committee.
 
Promotions Committee

Tasks of the Committee:

 

- Examining applications for promotion to the rank of associate professor and full professor
- Selecting experts to referee the applicant’s paper for promotion.
- Sending research research papers to experts to be refereed. 
- Considering the experts’ reports about the applicants. 
- Recommending approval or disapproval of the promotion.
- Updating the executive rules for the promotions regulations.
- Recommending approval or disapproval for counting the activity of writing a book as a minimum academic production for promotion.
- Undertake any other assigned to the committee.
 
Publishing and Translation Committee

Tasks of the Committee:

 

- Selecting experts to evaluate the books submitted to the Council.
- Sending books to experts for evaluation.
- Reviewing the experts’ reports and recommending approval or disapproval of publishing the book.
- Ensure that the experts' feedback is made before publication
- Follow up on everything related to scientific journals at the university.
- Undertake any other tasks assigned to the committee.
 
Scientific Case Study Committee

tasks of the Committee:

 

- Examining the papers of applicants for a sabbatical leave.
- Examining the papers of the applicant for scholarly communication,
and recommending approval or non-approval.
- Reviewing requests for resignations, early retirement, extensions and, contracts for faculty members.
- Reviewing the establishment of scientific societies, forming their founding committees, and recommending approval or disapproval.
- Reviewing requests to participate in scientific conferences and recommending approval or disapproval.
- Updating the executive rules of the regulations related to the committee’s tasks.
- Undertaking any other tasks assigned to the committee.
 
Scientific Excellence Allowance Committee

Tasks of the Committee:

 

- Examining candidates' publications in scientific journals to be eligible for the Scientific Excellence Allowance.
- Examining awards entitlement of applications for the Scientific Excellence Allowance.
- Examining entitlement of patent applications for the Scientific Excellence Allowance.
- Update the executive rules for the Scientific Excellence Allowance Regulations.
- Undertake any other tasks assigned to the committee.
