Academic Counseling Week

The Unit organized an event entitled: Academic Counseling Week

Activity Summary:
• Emphasizing the importance of programs and advising services provided to female students and indicating the need to interact with them, and the impact on their life.

The academic counseling week was activated at the College of Education in Zulfi - female campus. With the participation of a group of faculty members in the college, several courses were held such as:
• The role of academic counseling in addressing academic weakness of female students
• Principles and rules of academic counseling
• The tasks of the academic advisor
• Manners
• Counseling
• Academic counseling rules and regulations
• Importance of academic counseling
• Time Management
• Study Skills

At the end of the week, an exhibition was held on the sidelines of the events, which included distributions, leaflets and pamphlets regarding the services of the student Support Unit.

The Student Counseling week also addressed the procedures of course selection, withdrawal and postponement.

Activity Objectives:
• To help creating positive attitudes on campus
• To help adapt students to university life
• To provide adequate counseling
