The Guidance, Counseling, and Student Rights Unit conducts a training course titled “Developing Self-Learning Skills.”

The Vice-Dean's Office for Educational Affairs and Development, through the Guidance, Counseling, and Student Rights Unit and in partnership with the Chemistry Department, recently hosted an empowering training session titled “Mastering Self-Learning Skills.”

This dynamic course equipped participants with practical tools and techniques to unlock the full potential of their brains during learning. It broke down the difference between focused and distracted thinking, showing how to harness both to maximize study effectiveness and retention.

Participants also explored powerful strategies to beat procrastination, boost memory, and understand why quality sleep is key to locking in inculcating knowledge. The course busted common myths about studying and shared actionable tips to ditch ineffective habits and study smarter.

One of the standout takeaways? Learners gained the ability to spot the roadblocks holding them back and use innovative methods to improve how they absorb and recall information when it counts.
